HOW IT ALL BEGANOnce upon a time, a long, long time ago (1978), the Allan family decided to rent a cottage in the Lake District for the Easter holidays and invited their old friends, the Fallows family, to join them. We stayed at "Croftfoot", a old farmhouse in Ennerdale, surrounded by fields of sheep and with beautiful views of the lake and mountains. We went walking every day and had a huge Christmas-like feast on Easter Day.
THE START OF AN ERA...That first Easter was a huge success and Croftfoot was rented again the following Easter, and again the Easter after that. And so began an annual tradition that has continued until the present day.
