Daffodils penetrate the earth and blossom yellow as the sun,

Bringing with them the start of Spring.

Bees buzz as they land on the delicate petals of the daffodils

Hoping to find pollen for their golden honey.

The sad Summer comes for the daffodils

As they shrivel and retreat to the cool earth

Waiting for the next Spring.
