Carolyn was diagnosed with cancer during the summer of 1999.  She fought the disease courageously, undergoing unpleasant chemo sessions and receiving surgery and other treatment without complaint.   

She died aged 58 on 19th November 2000 and, in accordance with her wishes, we asked for donations to be made in her memory to the North London Hospice in Woodside Park where she was wonderfully looked after during the last days of her life.  The contributions received totalled nearly £9000.

Easter Day, 2000

She was a remarkable woman and those of us who were privileged to know her well will  especially miss her kindness, her wisdom, her immense enthusiasm for life, her sense of humour and her love of all things mischievous and fun.  She will be greatly missed by the Fallans, both on the fells and off them.
